With Salesforce CRM powered by Einstein AI, everyone’s an Einstein. And we do mean everyone. My partner Monika Hoang and I were tasked with showing how everyday team members turn into business geniuses with the power of Einstein AI.
Under the amazing creative direction of Jessica Bognar and Rebecca Brown, our campaign scored the highest brand linkage for any spots in Salesforce history, and we were personally called by President Biden to thank us. Ok I lied about that part but he should have.
There's quite a leap from how music lovers feel about music to how they actually go about listening to it. Their sufferings and humiliations are innumerable- bluetooth dropouts, tangled cords, the sharing of waxy earbuds.
"You're Better Than This" was based on this simple but powerful observation and found its way into a social film campaign, wild postings and a digital ‘zine charting the world’s listening absurdities.
Winner of two Gold Clios for Film and Integrated.
Method Soap had a problem. Sales were lagging, social media numbers were down, “how do we engage more moms??” was the task. We landed on a slightly offbeat but lovable spokesinger with a six string guitar and a dream to CLEAN HAPPY.
Our Clean Happy messaging and initiatives were a hit. We ran a “Method of the Month Club”, cobranded Instagram Stories and blog posts with prominent mommy influencers and fun but tactical social activations like gift certificates in exchange for guessing how many bottles of Method soap were used in our rainbow.
Our efforts were covered by Adweek, Fast Company and The New York Times.
Washabelle is the world’s first machine washable mattress. Anne Paschen, CEO of Washabelle, reached out to me to rewrite her website and write and creative direct her very first social campaign. Along with fantastic designer AK Matthews, we delivered a brand new website, shot a full video campaign and spiked her business by 147%. I made that number up but it sounds impressive so I’m leaving it.
The VW Atlas was about to launch and wanted to lean in to the fact it sat 7. My partner Scott Brown and I were brought into Deutsch LA to freelance as Team #361 to try to crack it. We came up with the idea of an immigrant’s dying wish to have his ashes scattered by his family on an epic VW road trip.
This poignant story was shepherded with care, Paul Simon gave the thumbs up on the concept to use his classic track “America”, and our campaign “Life’s As Big As You Make It” was born.
Did somebody say sausage? No? That's usually my opening line when I enter a room. Make sure to scroll down for some fun print headlines. I had a great partner for this campaign, Mr. John Dwight.
All SONOS speakers come with Trueplay technology, wizardry that allows each speaker to “map” the room it’s in to optimize acoustics for sound quality. We pitched the idea to partner with Rick Rubin, a music producer famous for using his intuition to map the artists he works with. Or maybe we just wanted an excuse to spend the day with him at his Malibu recording compound.
Activision's DJ Hero 2 mixes up two different tracks to get a fresh, unexpected new one. Scott Brown and I came up with the idea of a party where people mixed together in fresh new ways as well. Joaquin Baca-Asay directed.
Hank Perlman directed these odes to human perseverance.
The love that cats have for Temptations cat treats is over the top. Just like an 80’s power ballad music video. I put on a cat leotard and mustache for this, wrote the song, performed it and got Hank Perlman to direct.
A brand and product awareness campaign showcasing the sleek SONOS Play 5, partnering with hip hop icon Q-Tip and the new face of blues, Gary Clark, Jr.
Parents with the smartphones at kids' events. It's getting out of hand. We need a smartphone camera with a 41 megapixel lens. Can somebody please invent a- oh, wait. Aaron Cathey wrote, my partner Kyle Jones and I ACD’d, Roman Coppola directed.
We pitched and won Dish Satellite's streaming TV service- Sling TV. Launch campaign directed by Tim & Eric.
Creative Directed and wrote the copy for the Google Pixel 6a long form product launch film and social assets. My amazing partner Helena Skonieczny and I shepherded production from scripting through remote shooting and ultimately delivered multiple versions optimized for cultural best practices and respective languages. The 1st film is the :30 supers-only version for social and digital., the 2nd is the 3 minute product demo. If you can sit through the whole thing you win a chicken dinner.
For the first time in history, Visa wanted to consolidate all marketing efforts around the globe. "Go" was the campaign that did it, with Morgan Freeman setting the tone. He was nervous on the mic, but I worked with him. We got there. No big deal.
When the brief came around at Mullen announcing new nonstop routes for Jetblue, it made me think back to The Micromachines Guy from childhood commercials. A fast-talking motor mouth who can’t get a breath in he’s so damn excited about these routes.
We got John Moschitto, the world’s fastest talking man, and he didn’t disappoint.
